the bottom line
no one knew about them. the owner admitted that he didn't understand marketing, so he didn't put in any effort. the solution? sweb.

strategic thinking
we started our engagement with campaign concepting to turn this not-so-sexy tech business into something people are eager to dive into.
game-changers

we started with a killer publishing strategy and created a comprehensive brand book that now serves as a vital tool for the internal onboarding process. it also included a timeline that is now painted in their office. safe to say, we were speaking their language.

we conceptualized, directed, and created a hero video that brought XYCOM’s story to life that not only showcases their strengths but gives their audience a reason to believe. this went beyond the standard one page overview.

we created a video that speaks to each vertical, not just the company. we started with industrial and then took a roadtrip to their client’s site to capture everything from in-office tech to miles of bluetooth technology connecting one building to the next.
sales
it’s the age old story of 3 hour lunches, post-work drinks, and 1:1 networking with a personalized follow-up. the XYCOM team realized this isn’t scalable when focusing on 4 different verticals.
where does sweb come in? we support each sales member with techniques specific to all four verticals: education, municipal, industrial, and hospitality. the key was curating sales tools to build on their existing relationships (that don’t require that 3 hour lunch.)

the approach, in a nutshell
chad wants to be badass, and we weren’t stopping him, actually… we encouraged it. we worked together to ensure XYCOM wasn’t boxed into what every other technology group would say. that’s just how sweb rolls.
